5.9" Polished Kona Dolomite Slab - Michigan
This is a gorgeous, 5.9" wide jasper slab of Kona dolomite that was collected from the Kona Hills of Michigan. The specimen has a mixture of creamy dolomite hues and deep-red and maroon coloration.

About Kona Dolomite
Kona dolomite comes from the Kona Hills in Marquette County, Michigan. It is believed that cyanobacteria colonies are responsible for these deposits, which are roughly 2.1 billion years old (Precambrian). This material can be found in a wide variety of shades including brown, grey, black, orange, peach, pink, red, and yellow, and often in mottled, laced, and banded patterns.
