5.8" Perfectly Prone, Drotops Trilobite - Large Specimen

This is a perfectly prone, 5.8" long Drotops megalomanicus trilobite quarried from Mrakib, Morocco. It's very 3D with excellent eye facet preservation and preparation. There is only about 1% shell restoration along a repaired crack through it's head. A top quality example of this large, phacopid trilobite.

How a Drotops might be found in the field, with part of the tail exposed in the broken rock. It would then be prepared using airscribes and air abrasives a process that would likely take 20+ hours for a good specimen..
