5.8" Miocene Fossil Scallop (Chesapecten) - Virginia

This is a beautiful fossil scallop (Chesapecten nefrens) that was collected from the Miocene age Calvert Formation in Westmoreland Co., Virginia. The surrounding rock has been completely cleaned away from both halves, and each is accompanied by an acrylic display stand.
