.4" Fossil Cranefly And Wasp- Green River Formation, Utah

This is a very nice Cranefly (Tupilidae) and Wasp (Hymenoptera) from the Green River Formation, Uintah County, Utah. This specimen shows very nice reservation. Wings, legs and the eye of the cranefly are all visible.

While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
