4.4" Bumpy Drotops Trilobite - Nice Preparation
This is nicely prepared, 4.4" long (around curve) specimen of the large phacopid trilobite Drotops megalomanicus. One of the most striking features of this trilobites is the large schizochroal (multi-faceted) eyes which would have given it a nearly 360 degree field of vision. The shell quality on this specimen is quite nice and the eye facets are clear. There is a repaired crack running up the left hand side of the axis but no restoration.
