4.35" Arctinurus Trilobite w/ Bite Marks - Classic New York Trilobite
This is a classic North American trilobite and a species that is highly desirable among collectors. It is a beautiful 4.35" long Arctinurus boltoni from the Rochester Shale of New York. This beautiful lichid trilobite is well preserved with several bite marks along the left side of its body.
Shell restoration is fairly minimal on this trilobite and can mostly be found through the tail and left side where the rock split during collection. There are small spots of restoration across some of the segments and the anterior border. That being said, restoration makes up less than 5% of this beautiful specimen.
Comes with a display stand.

About Trilobites
Trilobites are an extinct class of marine arthropods that thrived for nearly 270 million years, from the early Cambrian to the end of the Permian period (around 521 to 252 million years ago). They are one of the most successful and diverse groups in the history of life, with over 25,000 described species spanning a wide range of sizes, shapes, and ecological niches. Known for their distinctive, segmented exoskeletons, trilobites provide invaluable insights into the evolutionary history of arthropods and the dynamics of ancient marine ecosystems.
