Double Arctinurus Trilobite Plate - Middleport, New York
This is a natural double Arctinurus boltoni trilobite specimen from the famous Caleb's Quarry near Middleport, New York. Very few multiples of this rare Silurian lichid trilobite have been found over the years. Both specimens on this plate of over 4" long, with the overlying trilobite measuring 5.05", which is fairly large for the species.
Comes with a display stand.
There is restoration to the pygidium of the overlying trilobite, along with gap fill restoration along repaired cracks where the rock split during collection.
