3.1" Pennsylvanian Fossil Fern (Eusphenopteris) Plate - West Virginia

This is a 3.1" section of rock containing fern (Eusphenopteris sp.) fossils, collected from Coal Country, West Virginia. Eusphenopteris is an extinct genus of seed ferns that flourished during the Carboniferous period, and can be found throughout many of the Late Carboniferous, Pennsylvanian-aged deposits of Eastern North America.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
