Fossil Hadrosaur (Kritosaurus) Humerus - Aguja Formation, Texas #113102

This is a 23.8" fossil humerus of a Hadrosaur (Kritosaurus) from the Aguja Formation near Brewster County, Texas. There is crack repair and gap fill restoration throughout the diaphysis of this bone, with most of the restoration through the distal half of the bone. Both the proximal and distal epiphysis required some gap fill restoration as well, however the majority of each end is natural bone. This humerus is from the right leg of a large adult individual.

On the included custom metal stand this bone makes a striking display.

This specimen was collected within the past year on private deeded property in Brewster County, Texas. You won't see any other dinosaur material from the Aguja and Javelina Formations for sale because nearly all of the formations lie within the boundaries of Big Bend National Park, where fossils may not be collected, or in Mexico, where fossils cannot be commercially traded. One of our partners was lucky enough to purchase several hundred acres of ranch land in Texas containing a good exposure of these formations, and we will be offering more material from the locality in the future.
