2.95" Fossil Running Rhino (Hyracodon) Jaw Section - South Dakota
This is a 2.95" wide mandible (lower jaw) bone section of the running rhino, Hyracodon nebraskensis. It was collected from the the Brule Formation in South Dakota and would be approximately 32-34 million years old. There is one complete tooth present which is attached to a small portion of jaw bone.
