2.75" Ordovician Starfish (Petraster?) With Trilobite Tail - Morocco
This is a 2.75" wide, Ordovician aged starfish of the genus Petraster. It comes from the Tioririne Formation near Blekus, Morocco. The specimen shows an amazing amount of detail and the natural, orange coloration is due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. There is also an unidentified trilobite tail on the edge of the rock.
It looks like there might be some restoration to the very ends of the arms of the starfish near the edge of the rock. It comes with an acrylic display stand.
