2.65 Inch Hollardops Trilobite - Nice Prep Work

This is a nicely prepared example of the Middle Devonian trilobite Hollardops mesocristata, often incorrectly referred to as a Metacanthina. The preparation work on this one is far nicer than the typical "moroccan style" preparation work commonly available. There is no major restoration, just some repair along the crack where the rock was broken during collection. The fine surface detail and many eye facets can easily been seen.
