2.3" Jurassic Fossil Bivalve (Myophorella) - Portugal
This is a beautiful fossil bivalve (Myophorella lusitanica) of the Trigonia family, collected from the Jurassic deposits near Loures, Portugal. It is Late Jurassic, Oxfordian Stage in age, or approximately 160 million years old. The rock has been meticulously prepped away to exposed the fossil. Both valves are present on this specimen.
