2.2" Fossil Fly, Crane Flies, and Beetle Plate - Green River Formation

This is an association of insects from the Green River Formation in Utah. The shale contains a beetle (order Coleoptera), multiple crane flies (family Tipulidae), and a fly (order Diptera). Fossil insects are one of the scarcer components of the fauna at the commercial fish quarries and many of them remain unidentified.
