1.9" Soft-Bodied Fossil Aglaspid (Tremaglaspis) With Pos/Neg
This is a 1.9" long Aglaspid (Tremaglaspis sp.) from the Upper Fezouata Formation of Morocco. It is preserved on it's side which is unusual and has a natural red/orange coloration. Both the positive and negative split of this fossil is included.
Aglaspids are a rare type of arthropod which was probably related to trilobites. For a while they were regarded as the ancestors to horseshoe crabs, though this theory has fallen out of favor.
