1.3" Orange/Red, Ordovician Asaphellus Trilobite - Morocco
This is a red, 1.3" long Asaphellus trilobite from the Ordovician deposits near Zagora, Morocco. The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. The preservation of this specimen is very nice and shows excellent detail of anatomical features. There is some restoration around the edges of the tail and head.
It comes with an acrylic display stand.
