1.1" Undescribed Proetid Trilobite - Jorf, Morocco

This is a nicely preserved, 1.1" long Proetid trilobite from Jorf, Morocco. As far as I can tell these proetids from Jorf are currently undescribed. It is nicely inflated and the preparation is good, considering how hard the glass-like rock from this location is to prepare. They are certainly not common trilobites, but many of the proetids from Morocco which are found by the dozens. We only found a handful of them in 3 days of digging at the site with several diggers in the fall.
