Rosasite & Selenite on Matrix Wholesale Lot - 6 Pieces
This is a wholesale flat of natural rosasite crystals coated in selenite on dolomite, from Morocco. You will receive 6.8 lbs of vibrant rosasite, dolomite and selenite association clusters, all 6 of which are pictured above. The pieces in this flat range from approximately 2.2" to 6.4" wide.
A couple of specimens contain azurite on the matrix, as well as the darkest green specimen likely containing malachite, as opposed to rosasite.
Rosasite is a secondary mineral that forms in oxidation zones of copper-zinc deposits, generally forming a fibrous botryoidal sphere that can appear vitreous and silky. While typically featuring a blue-green color, colorless specimens are not unheard of. The chemical formula of rosasite is CuZnCO3(OH)2.
