13.4" Polished Wyloo Agate Section - Australia
This is a gorgeous section of Wyloo agate from Western Australia. It has been cut flat on one side and polished to a mirror like finish, revealing some very interesting geometric patterns. Wyloo agate, also known as Ashburton agate, was formed about 900 million years ago when silica-rich solutions entered the 2 billion year old dolomite host rocks after a major tectonic event. This resulted in agate formations and pockets of quartz crystals.
Its thickness allows for it to sit aesthetically in various positions.
