2.9" Thomsonite Zeolite Specimen - India
This is a wonderful 2.9" long specimen of the zeolite Thomsonite from the Maharashtra province of India. Thomsonite is one of the rarest zeolites found in the volcanic rocks in the area. The fuzzy balls of Thompsonite have a beautiful peach to red coloration, and are up to 1.25" across.
Small tabular stilbite crystals can be found protruding from the surface of the matrix as well, surrounding the interconnected fibrous thomsonite crystals that engulf the top of the specimen.
