3" Thomsonite (Zeoalite) With Stilbite - India
This is an incredible 3.0" long specimen on the zeolite Thomsonite from the Maharashtra province of India. Thomsonite is one of the rarest zeolites found in the volcanic rocks in the area. The fuzzy balls of Thompsonite have a beautiful peach to red coloration, and are up to 1.1" across.
Small tabular stilbite crystals can be found protruding from the surface of the matrix as well, surrounding the thomsonite crystal bridge that can be seen connecting the two sides of the specimen.
