This is a beautiful polished bowl carved from a kind of calcite often (incorrectly) marketed as Pakistan green onyx. The stone varies from pale to deep olive green and has white and red banding throughout. It measures 7.9" in diameter.

Since this bowl is made of a very water-soluble material, it is not dishwasher safe. We recommend sealing before use.

Pakistan Green Onyx

Despite its name, Pakistan green onyx is not a true onyx, but a colorful variety of green banded calcite. Its deep color, reddish striations, translucency, and softness make it one of the world's most popular stones for interior stonework, decorative carvings, and lapidary work.
