7.2" Free-Standing Opalised Serpentine - Western Australia
This is a 7.2" polished section of richly colored Opalised Serpentine mined in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. One side is polished to a mirror like finish and it stands up nicely on a hard surface.
The stone has streaks and windows of chrome chalcedony which is dark green in color and translucent. The green color in the stone is due to the presence of Chromium.
