5.3" Lemon-Yellow Brucite In Blue-Green Matrix - Pakistan

This is an interesting, 5.3" wide brucite aggregation that's still attached to a section of blue-green matrix, creating an unique color contrast. It was collected from the Kharan District of Balochistan, Pakistan. The intense color displayed by this crystal aggregation is a perfect example of the quality of color that these crystals can present.

Brucite, a mineral composed of Mg(OH)2, comes in all ranges of colors depending on locality. Typically it forms in subparallel aggregates of plates as well as tabular crystals, each of which can be fibrous to elastic in rigidity.
