4.6" Sage-Green Quartz Crystals with Dual Core - Mongolia
These are beautiful sage-green quartz crystals that were collected from Inner Mongolia. The surfaces of this crystal cluster are covered in smaller quartz growths, giving the crystal a bumpy structure and wet appearance. When backlighting this quartz specimen, a dark core of either amethyst or smoky quartz can be seen. Most of the green quartz out of Mongolia is a result of hedenbergite inclusions. While this crystal doesn't contain any visible inclusions through its green portions, the green color is likely still a result of hedenbergite. Other trade names for these specimens are "bluish-green quartz" and "Mongolian Elestial Quartz".
