This is a gorgeous, 3.75" wide polished heart of moss agate collected from Oregon. It features delicate, green and red moss-like filaments encapsulated in light-blue to colorless agate. The polish work on this specimen is outstanding.

Moss agate is a variety of chalcedony, frequently containing colorful green, red, or brown mineral inclusions similar to fluffy patches of moss. They can also have brown to black dendrites of iron or manganese oxides.
