Noreena jasper, also known as Port Hedland picture jasper, is a type of jasper named after the Noreena Hills in Western Australia where it is found. It is known for its unique, colorful patterns that can include shades of red, orange, yellow, and green.

Noreena jasper is a silicified pelite (mudstone) that occurs in the Jeerinah Formation. It was deposited during the Late Archean, an astounding 2.7 billion years ago! Due to its unique, colorful patterning, it is often used in jewelry and as a decorative stone.
