2.9" Colorful, Banded Condor Agate - Argentina
This is a beautiful, 2.9" wide polished nodule of Condor agate from Argentina. It shows off the characteristic red, pink, blue and yellow coloration in the polished face. It has been cut flat and polished to a glossy finish on one side with the rest of the nodule left in rough form.

Condor agate is a highly prized gem-quality agate from the Mendoza Province of Argentina. Most specimens feature fine red, brown, and black banding, but colors can vary into blues, greens, and even whites. They are relatively new discovery, only discovered in 1993: they make a wonderful addition to any mineral collection.
