2.05" Chatoyant, Fibrous Malachite Crystals - Congo
This is a gorgeous, silky specimen of radiating fibrous malachite mined in the Katanga Province of the Congo. Fibrous malachite is an unusual form of malachite made up of slender prisms of tiny, fibrous needles. These needles merge to create sprays and fans of deep green color. Sometimes referred to as silky or velvet malachite, it's a very showy and displayable form of this forest green mineral.
