This is a beautiful rutilated quartz crystal that was collected from Bahia, Brazil. It measures 1.3" long and contains sprays of tiny golden rutile crystals throughout the quartz.
It has been mounted to an acrylic display base with mineral tack.

Rutilated quartz is a form of quartz characterized by needle-like inclusions of rutile within the quartz crystal. These inclusions mostly look golden, but they also can look silver, copper red, or deep black.
