1.05" Lemon-Yellow Sulfur Crystal Cluster - Italy
This is a 1.05" wide sulfur crystal cluster collected from the Cianciana Mine in Sicily, Italy. The crystals have a beautifully vibrant color and are in a solid habit instead of as a powdery coating typical in sulfur deposits. This specimen is mounted to a clear acrylic display stand with mineral tack for museum-quality presentation.
The chemical composition of this vibrant mineral is S8, eight sulfur atoms bonded together to form a sulfur molecule. The crystal structures are typically tabular or blocky dipyramids that form in sedimentary rock.
