.3" Worden Chondrite Meteorite Slice - Michigan

This is an incredibly rare and fun specimen: a .3" wide slice of the Worden meteorite, a 1.5-kilogram L5 chondrite that landed in a man's garage in Michigan around 5:00 PM on September 1, 1997. This particular piece is only 0.15 grams, but still contains dozens of beautiful metallic inclusions in only a third of an inch of matrix. Michigan State University holds the main mass.

This specimen comes in an acrylic display case.
