Wyoming Petrified Beech Wood Section - 9" Tall

This is a large, free-standing section of polished petrified beech wood from the Wind River Mountain Range of Central Wyoming. It's approximately 9" tall, the polished face is 6.2" wide and it weighs just under 8 lbs. One face has been highly polished so that the fossilized wood grain can easily be seen. The quality of the polishing work is second to none with no dull spots or scuff marks. This is a very solid and displayable piece of petrified wood from an unusual location.
