Lot - Fossil Otodus Shark Teeth (Restored) - 200 Pieces

This is a wholesale lots of approximately 200 fossil Otodus (with a few other species mixed in) shark teeth from the Phosphate Deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. These teeth are so cheap because they are pretty low quality with most of the roots heavily repaired and restored though most of the crowns are free of restoration or repair Most teeth fall into the 1 1/2" to 2" long size range.

At $60 for the lot, that is only 30 cents per fossil tooth! I normally don't purchase and carry such heavily repaired teeth, but ended up with a few lots of them mixed in with one of my last bulk buys from Morocco.

These teeth are collected during the massive phosphate mining operations. While teeth of Otodus are very common fossils at the mines the vast majority (like these) are damaged by the mining equipment.
