Wheeler Collection - Elrathia, Asaphiscus & Peronopsis

Here's a small collection of the 3 most common trilobites in the Wheeler Formation. They are all on calcite wafers free of surrounding matrix and have been microscopically prepared using air abrasives. There is a 1 3/4 inch Asaphiscus wheeleri, a 1 1/4 inch Elrathia kingii and an agnostid trilobite Peronopsis interstrictus. Asaphiscus and Peronopsis are not typically found on calcite nodules like the Elrathias are.

All three specimens are nicely preserved examples of their species making it a nice representative collection. All of the trilobites were personally collected by myself at the U-Dig quarry in March and come in a small riker mount.
