Very Rare, 3.5" Psychopyge Praestans - Foum Zguid, Morocco

This is a very rare, Psychopyge praestans from the Timrhanhart Formation near Foum Zguid, Morocco. While there are several species of Psychopyge described from Morocco, this might be the rarest. It's only the second specimen I've been able to acquire over the years. It has a shorter, more stubby rostrum than other Psychopyge species. All of the examples I've seen assigned to this species seem to have some variation to the rostrum and length of spines.

This specimen is curved, but would be about 3.5" long if outstretched. The preparation is exceptional with all of the tiny details preserved. There is no restoration on this specimen.
