Unusual Species of Crotalocephalus (Not Gibbus)

Do not confuse this with the much more common trilobite Crotalocephalina gibbus commonly seen for sale. This is a different genus that comes from the area near Lghaft, Morocco. The pygidial (tail) spines are distinctly different.

This specimen is laid out prone and contrasts well with the unusual reddish colored matrix. It has been well prepared and there has been no restoration work done to the specimen.
