6" Unprepared Fossil Fish (Mioplosus) - Green River Formation

This is an unprepared fish (Mioplosus) from the Gastropod Layer of the Green River Formation. It appears to be around 6" in length and is on a 9.3 x 7.2" slab of rock.

While the fish does appear to be complete and articulated, as with all unprepared fossils there are no guarantees. You don't know what will be under the surface.
