Two Pennsylvanian Fossil Ferns - Kentucky
This is two fossil fern leaflets, from the Breathitt Formation, Leslie County, Kentucky. Three Macroneuropteris, the largest 1.3" and one Cyclopteris, .4". Macroneuropteris and Cyclopteris are both extinct family of seed ferns from the Late Carboniferous, Pennsylvanian aged forests that formed the coal shales of Kentucky and Ohio.
