This is a detailed, .46" fossil Weevil often referred to as a Snout Beetle from the Green River Formation in Uintah County, Utah. There is also a second, smaller weevil on the same rock.
While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
