Three Cordania Wessmani Trilobites & A Paciphacops - Oklahoma
Please note, that this piece is a composite. All four trilobites were found on the surface, ventrally, prepared and remounted onto the limestone.
This is a cool piece with three uncommon Cordania wessmani trilobites along with a Paciphacops cambelli from the Bois d' Arc Formation of Oklahoma. This formation lies just above the Haragan Formation and while it contains many similar trilobites it's not collected that frequently as the trilobites are harder to find. The Cordanias are all around .75" long and the Kainops is 1.15" long. The caramel colored shell is nicely detailed and contrasts well with the light colored rock.

About Trilobites
Trilobites are an extinct class of marine arthropods that thrived for nearly 270 million years, from the early Cambrian to the end of the Permian period (around 521 to 252 million years ago). They are one of the most successful and diverse groups in the history of life, with over 25,000 described species spanning a wide range of sizes, shapes, and ecological niches. Known for their distinctive, segmented exoskeletons, trilobites provide invaluable insights into the evolutionary history of arthropods and the dynamics of ancient marine ecosystems.
