.67" Small Theropod Toe Bone - Hell Creek Formation, Montana
This is a .67" long fossil metatarsal (toe bone) of a small theropod dinosaur, which would be more generally referred to as a raptor. It was collected from the Hell Creek Formation of Carter County, Montana. There are multiple species of raptors described from this formation and likely many more undescribed, so assigning isolated toe bones to a species or even genus is often guesswork.
The bone is in excellent condition with no indication of any repairs or restoration. It comes with an acrylic bubble display case.
