Silurian Seafloor Association - Waldron Shale, Indiana
This is a piece of shale containing a beautiful grouping of Silurian aged fossils from the Waldron Shale of Indiana. There are two types of crinoids Eucalyptocrinus crassus and Lyriocrinus melissa, two types of brachiopods Homoeospira evan and Meristina maria, as well as some Bryozoans. The large brachiopod and Eucalyptocrinus calynx at the bottom of the plate were mounted on the plate and not originally found in that position. This piece has been microscopically cleaned using air abrasives.
