Rare 2.35" Dicranurus - Black Cat Mountain, OK
Dicranurus is a rare trilobite in the Haragan Formation with only a few complete specimens being found at the Black Cat Mountain Quarry each year. This magnificent example was last year and prepared by Bob Carroll.
This 2.35" inch trilobite is an exceptional specimen of the species, the best one to be found at the quarry last year. The caramel colored shell contrasts well against the light matrix and the distinctive "ram horns" have been prepared free standing. There is a little bit or restoration to the right genal spine which may have been repositioned.
