1" Unusual, Eocene Fish (Eutrichiurides) Jaw - Morocco

This is a rare, 1" long jaw section from the Eocene fish genus, Eutrichiurides. Fossils from this fish are rarely collected, but when they are it is quite the treat. This specimen contains four, well-preserved, flat spear-like teeth and was collected in Khouribga, Morocco. It is still in the rock that it was found in which is littered with other marine fossils.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.

Eutrichiurides fish were long and slender, with rows full of sharp teeth. They were built for speed and efficient hunting in the Eocene seas of Morocco.
