This is a rare, 1.6" wide, Carboniferous-aged fossil starfish (Onychaster flexilis) from the famous crinoid beds near Crawfordsville, Indiana. It is detailed, with three dimensional preservation and has been meticulously prepped with air abrasives under stereo microscope.
