Rare, 1.3" Apatokephalus Trilobite - Fezouata Formation
This is a rare, 1.3" long Apatokephalus trilobite from the upper Fezouata Formation of Morocco. This rare remopleurid trilobite has a long spine coming off the axial ring on one of its last segments. The red/rust coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite.
