This is a beautiful display piece featuring a pair of pyrite replaced Kosmoceras ammonite fossils. The ammonites have been cut in half revealing the beautiful inner chamber detail. Some of the chambers are filled with druzy pyrite crystals. These sliced ammonites have then been mounted on an argillite matrix with calcite and pyrite.
The largest ammonite is 1.9" wide and the entire piece is about 2.7" tall. Makes for a beautiful little display.
