Pyritized Kosmoceras Ammonite Fossil On Argillite

This is a beautiful display piece featuring a pyrite replaced Kosmoceras ammonite fossil. The ammonite has been cut in half revealing the beautiful inner chamber detail, filled with druzy pyrite crystals. These fossil ammonite halves have then been mounted in a polished argillite matrix to create a very aesthetic display.
