Premium Kettneraspis & Kainops Association
This is a very displayable association from the famous Black Cat Mountain trilobite quarry near Clarita, Oklahoma. There is an exceptionally preserved Kettneraspis naturally preserved on the same piece of limestone as a beautiful Kainops raymondi. Because you have to break A LOT of rock at this location to find good trilobites, it's very unusual so get two well preserved trilobites in such close association.
The Kettneraspis is 1 1/4" long which is a little above average size for the species but quality wise it's very nice. The Kainops is a similar size, with equally nice preservation. These two trilobites are located about 6 inches apart on a sculpted piece of matrix. It was masterfully prepared by Bob Carroll himself, who's been collecting this quarry for over 30 years. It doesn't get much better than this.
